according to my pa tourbook, hershey's chocolate world is a 10 minute automated ride. and u get some free candy at the end :)

we went through the "factory" which was more like a museum tour with fake machines. idk if there is another tour in the park but it took us about an hour, depends on the line lenth too.

I was there a long time ago. It took anywhere from 30 minutes to 45 minutes. I suggest you call in advance and they can tell you what are the busiest times and days and they can answer that question for you better than anyone else. Take it from me, I am a travel agent whenever I want to know something like that I go straight to the source !

You don't actually tour the factory anymore, you tour Chocolate World, and it's actually kind of a ride. There are fake machines behind the glass and stuff...it actually looks pretty real at alot of parts. There is a recording that tells you what everything is and they even pump the smell of chocolate through the place. Then they give you a little free candy bar and set you loose in the huge store full of chocolate. It's pretty short though...10 minutes for the ride, but it depends how long you have to stand in line.

Hershey is just like the rest of them, a nation wide boycott is in order.

for what it's worth maybe then some illegals would follow and we wouldn't have so many here..I spend a lot of time in mexico and I think there will be a change in the taste ,mexico chocolate isn't that tasty.

In the long run, this will help consumers. Not to mention the jobs it will create in Mexico, which should help Mexicans stay in Mexico.

Do NOT give your dog chocolate! It's poisonous for dogs!
brooke
As long as you melt it, it shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah, just break up the hershey's bar into little pieces. You are talking about the chex mix stuff right?
cjay_always
Dont give chocolate to your dog.. Stuff that is in chocolate isnt good for dogs, it can kill them. It makes them super hyper active, and stops their heart..There are special dog chocolates out there though

Oh my goodness YES! Isn't puppy chow yummy?! I use milk chocolate in recipes like this, and it tastes sweeter because chocolate chips are just semi-sweet chocolate. If you want, you can make a half recipe using the candy bar, and use butterscotch chips in the other half recipe. Also peanut butter chips work well. I do not put the different chips in one recipe, but you could. Separating the chips and halving the recipe just gives you two tastes in one mix. Better yet, you could make one whole recipe using the candy bars and another whole recipe using dfferent flavors of chips. Maybe an idea for the next puppy chow calling!

Hershey's syrup is the wrong tool for the task. If you want hot fudge, don't start with syrup, simply buy or make hot fudge. Trying to thicken Hershey's syrup will result in a burnt sticky mess.

Do not add flour, it will be a big icky glob. I have stirred a little condensed sweetened milk in well & heated it but Personally didn't care for it...too sweet. If you're going to put anything in it, try a sm. bit of cornstarch in a sm. amt. of cold water, stir well & add to Hershey's syrup. Heat for 10 sec. at a time untill right consistancy. Personally, I just buy fudge topping or make it with fudge frosting.

What I'd do is melt it with chocolate chips or some other chocolate. Even if you don't have chocolate chips or any other type of real chocolate you can add corn starch (I know it sounds gross) to thicken it slightly while still keeping the flavor. I'd add the chocolate WITH a little bit of cornstarch to give it the consistency of a real ice cream fudge.

The hotel is more expensive and upscale. The lodge is more casual and has some family activities.

I think I saw a cheesecake flavored kiss around Christmas, but didn't try it. I do love the candy cane ones though.
